PERSONALITY AND BEHAVIOR

The Cane Corso is an affectionate dog. However, it appears that this love is only reserved for his family as he is not as enthusiastic around strangers. Although he may jump and wag his tail when he is with you, don’t expect the same attitude when he’s around unfamiliar people. However, it can modify it with early socialization and training.
The Cane Corso is a working dog. For this reason, he is unlikely to sit on the couch all day. Most of the time, he tends to stay physically and mentally stimulated. Give him a "job" to do, and you’ll have a happy dog in your home every day.
The Cane Corso is easy to train. As a result of his very high intelligence and working heritage, he catches up on issued commands quickly. Activities like agility training, obedience training, and tracking excite him because he sees them as "work." Therefore, he wastes no time at all in the performance of these tasks.
He has a high prey drive. As a result, it is likely to see him run after small animals and moving objects such as vehicles. Hence, it is essential to keep him close or on a leash whenever you’re in public, to ensure his safety.

SPECIAL CARES AND GROOMING

Because of his working heritage, the Cane Corso needs to exercise regularly. Maintain a routine of about 30 to 60 minutes of physical activity every day to make your dog happy and stay in shape.

He is likely to go prey-hunting if left unguarded. Secure him in a large fenced yard.
